Just screw it.

You guys are insane. You nearly killed me. I hope I don't see any of you after we get back. You've killed my best friend and an innocent kid. I hope you guys get shit when you get home. I'm so glad that the soldier met us on the beach. I wish he had seen you stabbing at me though, maybe there'd be a witness to the madness that happened on this island. Maybe no one will believe me, maybe everyone will think it was a stupid little game in our head. I don't know. But I hope you get what you deserve. I also hope that Piggy and Simon and the little boy with the Mulberry birth mark's parents get notified, and get the respectful funeral that the boys deserve. I hope all of you are there, paying your respects, and holding on to the last little bit of humanity you have left in you. I feel like the adult of this group, yelling at all of you. But I'm furious, you're all traitors. All you guys can say is "well this is awkward.." Ya. It is.

--- "hey guys, let's build a fire to get rescued" "Screw that let's go hunt pigs"
--- "screw hunting pigs, let's hunt Ralph" *Smokes him out -- gets rescued because of the fire*

What would I have changed? I would have changed how all of us worked together. If we had just all worked well, not have faught, and have focused on survival. We could have gotten rescued way sooner, and maybe even have saved some lives. No one deserved to die.

I remember when we were still in school, not on this stupid island. We had learned about this school teacher who wanted to teach his class about how Hitler had taken power over the Nazis . I feel like this is what is happening with our group. The students in the story were taught to be very disciplined, and at one point they became a group, they called themselves "The wave" and had their own salute. In the end he taught the students that they were actually following Hitler, and they'd been sucked in the same way as the Nazis, and nobody noticed because they thought it was a cool new trend. The students started hurting each other if they were not a part of the wave or thought it was something bad.
I feel like this is maybe where our group is going. Jack's "Tribe", for example, has started to become very disciplined, and very power thirsty. Maybe it's what we're suppose to do, but I feel like we're starting to go down this path...

If you guys continue to follow Jack's Tribe, we might end up like the kids in that school. There's already been one kid hurt. Hell, who's to say that I won't be hurt for saying this.

Group Dynamics;

I would like everyone to be equal.
Everyone should work as a team, feel like they have a part in everything.

What's really happening;

Well, Simon died. That explains a little bit. Our group is starting to turn into savages.
We have food, yes but what else do we have? We're all starting to lose ourselves on this island. We're starting to become the thing we've feared.; the beastie.
Why is Simon dead? Tell me! You guys let the island get to your head, you let JACK take over your brains. You let him walk all over you... What's to say that we won't, as a group, kill someone else. How will you hold this on your shoulders. We're on this island, and we don't seem to be getting off soon. We need a better group dynamic. Everyone needs to take part, and everyone needs to think, and know what they want to do. No more "chief" no more conch holder. We need to work together as a GROUP.

Why just one?

Why should we have just one leader?
The stress of the group is too much for just one leader. We need a group similar to the government. We need a group of people with advantages in different skills, then we wont have people slacking off because they don't know how to do things.
My input from what I've seen would have these boys as leaders:
  • The Hunters will need a strong devoted leader. The obvious choice is Jack. They would go off hunting, and that would be their job.
  • For the fire, since it's more simple to have two (for safety reasons also) we should have Sam and Eric in charge, so that one can always be on the fire, and the other guarding, getting more wood, or grabbing food.
  • For the building of the shelters, Simon could be in charge of building the shelters and helping with the water.
  • For communication between the groups, I could hold my position as the barer of the conch. This would be to help make sure that all the groups are working safely and progressively. Though I don't it to seem that I have power over all the leaders, so they are free to lead their groups. I'm just here to keep healthy relations between the groups.
  • As for Piggy, he will be in charge of the littluns. He will be in charge of making sure they are eating and are keeping clean, as well as being safe.
As leaders, we all have to keep a look out for any signs of the outside world.

Day 1.
Today, I thought we died. We didn't. We just crash landed on an island. I don't remember who was on the plane, and I don't know where they are. I managed to find this kid, he was fat, and kind of stupid... His name was Piggy. What a ridiculous name.. though I have to admit it's pretty funny. The highlight of my day was finding this conch shell. We used it to call for anyone else on the island who had been lost in the crash. We found many little boys from the forest, and a group of boys who were part of a choir. They were weird and their leader was strict. His name was Jack. It's not a really big deal though, being stranded is alright, we just have to wait for my daddy to come get us. Jack doesn't believe me, but he will. We went to the top of the mountain, it was beautiful. We found a pig, well actually... the pig found us. Jack went a little crazy. I don't know what we're going to do about him. But we got to the top of the mountain, and we got a basic outline of the mountain.

Day 2.
We realized that the top of the mountain would be the best place to signal for help. So we lit a fire.  Piggy freaked out a bit, he's such a nuisance. He kept freaking out how he had the conch so it was his turn to speak. We noticed his glasses reflected light well. So we took them and we started a fire with the twigs we found in the forest. We might have made it a bit big... Piggy kept going on about how we got our small fire. His sarcasm annoys me so much.

Day 3.
Today our mission was to make a shelter for everyone. We didn't want to have to face the danger of the weather anymore. We sent out the choir to go hunting. Most of them came back, except Jack. He's insane. I'm pretty mad, no one's helping me. All the children are playing or bathing and Piggy's not even doing anything. Simon's at least being a bit helpful. He's helping me with the shelters, not that we're getting much done with two people.
When Jack finally got back, he had no meat. He's not even helpful to us, and he keeps talking about how he wants to kill. He's become blood thirsty... He said he'd help after he bathes. Yah.. right. He's probably just going to go and hunt.

 Got a basic outline of the island.. They lit fire to it... Thanks guys for keeping that small..
Piggy quote of the day: 'You got your small fire all right.' (Ch 2 pg 44)

We decided to make some rules.
Stuck here on the island..
