Why just one?

Why should we have just one leader?
The stress of the group is too much for just one leader. We need a group similar to the government. We need a group of people with advantages in different skills, then we wont have people slacking off because they don't know how to do things.
My input from what I've seen would have these boys as leaders:
  • The Hunters will need a strong devoted leader. The obvious choice is Jack. They would go off hunting, and that would be their job.
  • For the fire, since it's more simple to have two (for safety reasons also) we should have Sam and Eric in charge, so that one can always be on the fire, and the other guarding, getting more wood, or grabbing food.
  • For the building of the shelters, Simon could be in charge of building the shelters and helping with the water.
  • For communication between the groups, I could hold my position as the barer of the conch. This would be to help make sure that all the groups are working safely and progressively. Though I don't it to seem that I have power over all the leaders, so they are free to lead their groups. I'm just here to keep healthy relations between the groups.
  • As for Piggy, he will be in charge of the littluns. He will be in charge of making sure they are eating and are keeping clean, as well as being safe.
As leaders, we all have to keep a look out for any signs of the outside world.

  1. Having you as a leader will destroy the island. We need one devoted leader that actually has the skills to keep us alive. A field you're lacking in.
Also, putting Piggy in charge of anything is a horrible idea.

And who else is gunna take care of the littluns. He's already doing it..

  4. Jack has already proven himself to be an efficient leader of the hunters. Ralph, what do you have to show for yourself? All your efforts thus far have fallen apart. If this is not some divine sign that you are not meant to lead, I do not know what is. I am glad to see that you have noticed this, though dividing the lead will not solve your problem. You've already tried putting specific people on various jobs, but as we've seen, this hasn't worked out very well. God has only graced Jack thus far, with kills and with admiration from the boys. He is the only one fit to be leader. At the moment, your conch may be your crown, but it is the people who will decide if you're fit to be king. The people, guided by God.
